I have had a request that I update my blog since it has been well over a month since my last post. A lot has been going on since I last blogged on here. As I blog I am having to look at my calendar to recap all that has happened.

First of all William now has 12 teeth and is talking a whole lot. His vocabulary is up to 11 words and counting. He really enjoys going to the park, running wild in the backyard and his nightly baths. He has become a really picky eater and will not eat any sort of meat. He loves anything with bread and cheese and loves spaghetti just like his mommy. So for those of you who read this that have any suggestions for meal ideas me to try let me know.

At the end of March, the Kengs had there first camping trip as a family and we all loved it. William loves the outdoors. The night time was a little scary and stressful especially camping with a toddler. I think we may wait a little longer for our next camping excursion but I would definitely go again.

Then of course Easter came and William had three Easter egg hunts to go to. It took him a little bit to understand the whole hunting process but by Easter Sunday he was on his way. The last week of April we flew down to Lubbock to visit my family. It's always nice to see them. Oh how I miss them. I wish we could see them more. During our visit William got sick and therefore I got sick. We didn't do a whole lot other than just hang out at my parents house. I will post pictures of the trip at the end.

This past Saturday was the annual Giddings Giddyup 5k as well as the fair and rodeo. Wesley ran and I walked with William. Wesley won 2nd place in his age division and has a nice ribbon hanging on the fridge. :) I am so proud! After the race we took a trip to Houston to visit some family of mine who I have not seen in five years. I have missed them and I was so excited I had the opportunity to make a quick trip to visit. I am so glad I live close to them and will be paying them frequent visits in the near future. I think that just about raps it up. Until next time here are a few pictures.

Weekend in San Antonio

I took my first trip to San Antonio the weekend before last. I really enjoyed the city. It is quite nice. We met my family from Lubbock there and had a nice reunion. The twins had a soccer tournament there and did okay. During our visit to San Antonio I finally got to see the Alamo. It was my first trip & my sons (who is 18 months old) second trip to the Alamo . I AM BACK! It's been a while since I have posted anything new on here. So Merry Christmas & Happy New. Over Christmas the Kengs headed north to Lubbock to visit my family and to also leave William with my parents for a couple of weeks. I missed him so much while we were apart and boy did he change when I saw him again. While William was with my family, Wesley and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary by going on a cruise to the Caribbean. I will post pictures of all of it. We traveled to Lubbock to pick up William who had been staying with his grandparents for almost a week. I think they may have spoiled him a little bit while he was there. I forgot how long the drive (6 hours and 30 minutes long) to Lubbock really is since I have not driven there since last Thanksgiving. While William was in Lubbock he really mastered his walking. By the time we got there he was walking all over the place. I am so happy he is walking now! He was walking a little bit here and there at home but in Lubbock he was all over the place.

During our visit to the hub city Wesley and I finally got to meet our little niece Townlie. She is so cute and tiny and looks just like her daddy when he was born. She was asleep the entire visit of 20 minutes which is to be expected from a newborn. Here are some pictures from our trip.

For those of you who know me know that I am a big Texas Tech fan. I was so excited that my team Tech beat Texas 39-33 on Saturday. What makes it even better is that we live near Austin and all we ever hear about is how great the Longhorns are. Well not this weekend!!! Tech outplayed them offensively and defensively. It was such a great and exciting game to watch. I woke up Sunday thinking it was all just a dream only to find out it really did happen.

I just wanted to say happy birthday to my son William. So here it is "HAPPY BIRTHDAY"! I can't believe you are 1 already. What a year it has been! You bring so much joy and happiness to your father and I and we look forward to watching you grow in years to come. We love you so much. Happy Birthday again to our baby boy.

It's been a while since my last post August to be exact and here are some random things that have been going on with us...

A couple of weeks ago William and I traveled to Lubbock to see my grandparents and family so they could see William before he turned one. I was so ready and excited to see my family but before I had even left I was already sad and had started missing Wesley like crazy. Of course not a whole lot has changed except the construction in Lubbock is an even bigger nightmare than it was when we moved from there. While we were in Lubbock William did something he has not done before. He actually missed me when I had left him with my parents for a few hours. His whole attitude changed again once he saw me later in the day. Although it was nice to be missed I worry that this "attachment" phase will only get worse. William is still not walking and only has two bottom teeth but the third is coming in. My mom noticed something funny about William. Whenever I would bring the camera out to take a picture of him he will automatically smile or make a cute face towards the camera. Lets see what else...oh yeah... my brother Nicolas began his freshman year at Tech and made the club soccer team. Way to go Nick! We will see him in action when he plays in Austin.

So it's September already and just a few days short of Williams first birthday. Wesley and I (mostly me) have had a few flashbacks of where we were this time last year because we were anxiously awaiting Williams arrival. A year later here we are with a handsome healthy little boy. Williams birthday is coming up next week and we are expecting a houseful of guest. I can't wait for the out-of-towners to get here. His party is going to be cute. The theme is a safari birthday. Wesley found William the cutest outfit for the occasion. There are still a few little things we need to get but is going to be fun! 11 Months and 2 days old...

So two days ago my sweet baby boy turned 11 months old. In just a few weeks he will be 1 and we will be celebrating his first birthday. I can't believe it already been a year (almost). Wesley and I are trying not to go overboard with his 1st birthday party seeing as how he will not remember anything from his first party. But there will always be plenty of pictures. I am traveling to Lubbock next week and am so excited to see my family especially those who I have not seen in a while. William has learned a few things like pulling himself up to stand beside something to just standing on his own. With the help of his little lion toy he is able to take a few steps before falling to his knees. He is so so close to taking that first step and then my real job begins!

So it's been a while since my last post. Lets see where to begin...my brother stayed with Wesley and I for a couple of weeks. I was sad to see him leave but happy to say I will see Nick and the rest of the family in a few short weeks. This past weekend Wesley William and I traveled to Houston to go and watch the Journey, Heart and Cheap Trick concert. William stayed with my aunt and uncle while Wesley and went to the concert. Of course it was hotter than hell and humid but that's Houston for you. Wesley was such a sweet heart for going and watching 3 groups he could care less about. Heart was so good ugh I wished they would have closed the concert out instead of Journey. I think they are my new favorite band. I had seen the other two bands in previous concerts and they were okay. I will post a few pictures in one sec. What else what else. William is going to turn 1 in a month and a half. I can't believe time has flown by so quickly. He is pulling himself to a stand and crawling like a maniac. He is still saying dada dada dada and bubba bubba still no mama. Other than that things are great and I couldn't be happier. Here are the pictures.

July 4th weekend was great! My parents and brother came down to visit as well as my aunt, uncle and his kids. I wish they would come and visit more. We had a packed house but also had a great time. We had great company, drinks, food and entertainment...What more could you ask for? I have never been so tired of eating as I was this weekend. It's over now but I am happy to say that I have my brother here with me for another week. Yesterday was his 19th birthday so I tried to make it special for him. No no not that...I am not prego. William is pulling himself up to stand (with a little help from his playpen)! How exciting is that? Wesley and I are thrilled...what's next? He will be walking and then talking if full sentences. He is 9 months and he is beginning to babble a few things already. He is already saying ra ra ra and da da. I am with him all day and he says da da first. I wouldn't mind accepting ra ra for ma ma :) Oh well. Here is a video clip of him pulling himself up but its a little dark. He are some quick pictures as well...the video quality isn't that great.

This was a big weekend in the Keng household. We celebrated Father's Day and Wesley's birthday on Sunday. Planning for his party had began like 3 weeks ago. His parents went all out on his party and did a great job. The theme for this 28 year olds party was SPIDER MAN! It reminded me of going to a 5 year old party with cake, ice cream, kool aid, candy, games and more. Wesley's big presents were a lawn mower and weed eater. At one time this may have been an inappropriate gift according to Wesley when he was 12 but it turned out to be a great gift now. Wesley didn't have the slightest clue about the party but I think he enjoyed it. Here are some pictures....

So I know its been a while since my last post and a few things have happened since. First of all my brother graduated from high school and will be attending Texas Tech in the fall. Yea for Nick! So Wesley, William and I were in Lubbock for a few days...It was really good to see my family. I miss all of them so so much. I was so happy Wesley was with me on the plane to help with William. He made it that much more easier to travel with William. While in Lubbock I got to go and see the new Sex and the City movie. It was good. I would have liked for something a little more but oh well. I also had my wisdom teeth pulled out and it hurt like hell. I won't lie and will not go into details. I think having a cesarean is less painful than having your wisdom teeth pulled. I still can't feel the right side of my tongue which the doctor said was normal and would gain feeling back within a MONTH. Just a month...

A quick update with William. William finally cut his first tooth and has a second tooth coming in. He is scooting/crawling all over the place. And just yesterday he sat up for the first time. :) All of this happened at 8 months. Who knows whats next?

I can't believe my baby is 8 months today. 8 months and still no teeth. :) Although there is a tooth that is about to pop up soon (We hope). Mothers day was good. I loved Wesley's and William gifts. Wesley made breakfast and dinner for me on Saturday and did such a great job. I have the greatest husband in the whole world. I love him so much! Talk Show Hosts...

Now that I am a stay at home mommy I occasionally have a chance to catch a daily talk show or two. I enjoy watching Ellen and Oprah during William's sleeping time. Last week and today as I was watching Oprah Winfrey I noticed that whenever she introduces a guess on her show her voice changes to this deep man shouting voice. Omg...I can't stand it! Its so annoying. I mean I know she has to make it exciting for her audience but why can't she do something else, why does she have to get the man voice.. Next time you have a chance to watch her listen and see if that doesn't bother you. Ugh...its like nails on a chalk board.

Ugh...it seems like forever that my son has been teething. He will chew on anything...his feet, your shoulder or whatever you give him. William will be 8 months and still no teeth in sight. It seems to only bother him at night before he goes to bed. But hey on a positive note we have had TWO full nights of uninterrupted sleep (knock on wood). Lets hope this continues. Here are a few pictures from last night in his Buz Lightyear pj's. Oh yeah and William is finally holding his own bottle at feeding time. :)

So I know I haven't blogged in a while. William and I traveled to Lubbock last week to see the family and to go to my brothers soccer banquet. Flying with William can be a little scary (especially flying alone) because I never know what to expect with him. Sometimes he is great and other times its almost unbearable. This time he was great thank god. It was so good to see all my family. I have missed them so much. Every time I go back its a little different.

Nick's banquet was good. I must say he had the best senior table there thanks to my mom. She did a great job and who knew she saved every little thing he had since his very first soccer season? It got a little emotional during the senior tape and watching his high school career end on an upsetting injury. Nick was a great player who deserved a little more recognition than what he received. Besides the banquet I got to visit some friends of ours who we had not seen in a while. Lets just say William is Super Baby compared to their babies. The little ones were so cute and I think William has a little girlfriend. :) I also got to stop and shop at one of my favorite stores one that we do not have were I live...Target. Oh I love that place! Ugh...if only I had one near me that was not 40 minutes away. Other than that the trip was good. I will be going back sometime in May and I can't wait. :) OH YEAH while in Lubbock William learned to sit up for long periods of time! He had a few wipe outs but he has the hang of it :) Pretty soon he will be crawling, pulling himself up and then walking...

As much as I missed my family and had a great time on my visit its good to be back home with my husband. He really missed us and I really missed seeing him everyday. Now I am working on getting William back to his regular sleeping schedule. It was a little crazy in Lubbock. I will post pictures soon.

This past Saturday William turned 7 months. Can you believe it? Where has the time gone? I can't believe my little boy is already 7 months. Then again I do believe it. I remember the sleepless nights and the colic period ugh... :) Sometimes it seems like it was just yesterday Wesley and I were going to the hospital to have him and then again it seemed like forever to get to this point. William loves to eat! He will eat anything you put in his mouth. He can rollover, sit-up and spit-up (but then again what baby can't do that). :) Wesley and I are just so in love with him.
